MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: General Moshe Dayan Visits Southern Sinai Region. DESCRIPTION: A pilot’s eye-view of Southern Sinai, the region featured strongly in the Israeli campaign, that ended so swiftly in victory. The aim was to clear the approaches to Suez and the Gulf of Aqaba. Success was achieved by Israel’s well disciplined troops, led by General Moshe Dayan, who lost his eye, fighting Vichy-French in Syria. SHOTLIST: Shots of Southern Sinai along the coast.
