Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Operation Sparrowhawk. DESCRIPTION: The Kyrenia Range in Cyprus and operation Sparrowhawk, and a full scale search for EOKA terrorists. The operation covered well over 200 square miles of remote mountain country and involved some 2,500 troops. Numerous suspects were rounded up and a number of EOKA leaders. An arsenal of weapons were brought to light, during the search which lasted for a week. SHOTLIST: MCU searchlight - troops.
