- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: The Royal Tour of Sweden. DESCRIPTION: The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh were greeted by King Gustav and Queen Louise, when they arrived at Stockholm on their three day visit to Sweden. After the greetings, the only ceremony there was, was the traditional inspection of the Naval Guard of Honour. A visit to the Museum of National Antiques was an early item on the Royal Programme. Another visit - to a children’s hospital, this was just one of the Queen’s visits paid during a busy tour of various institutions in Stockholm. There was a reception, for the British and Commonwealth subjects resident in Sweden who had the honour of presentation. The Queen and the Duke attended the opening of the sixteenth Olympic Equestrian Games, King Gustav performed the opening ceremony.
