Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Soviet Tour Continued. DESCRIPTION: Westminster Pier was the departure point for Marshal Bulganin and Mr Khrushchev, when they travelled by launch, to Greenwich. At the Royal Naval College, they were welcomed by Lord Cilcennin. Their next visit was to Harwell where Sir Edwin Plowden, met the Soviet leaders. An almost non-stop programme included a visit to Oxford, where they were conducted round many world famous colleges. At Windsor the Soviet leaders were graciously received by Her Majesty the Queen and members of her family. In London a reception by the LCC. The Lady Chairman, Mrs Bentwich, read the address of welcome to the Soviet Premier, and the Communist Party Secretary.
