MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Europe Freezes. DESCRIPTION: It takes a lot to freeze the Danube, but Europe has had a lot. And the famous river has been blocked with ice to such an extent that serious flooding has occurred. The French Riviera under about six inches of snow, has taken a very strange appearance, instead of the usual early Spring weather, Winter clamps down on many popular resorts. SHOTLIST: Danube with ice on. Streets with floods. Woman carried from flooded house to dinghy. Cannes - Riviera - GV of yachts with icicles on. Flooded buildings, restaurant. Cactus and palm tree covered by snow.
