Summary

MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Turkish Demonstrations. DESCRIPTION: In Nicosia, an angry crowd of Cypriot Turks march through the streets, their demonstration followed the murder of a Turkish police sergeant at Paphos earlier in the day. SHOTLIST: After Red Berets leave for Cyprus mix to Nicosia. GV Ataturk Square with crowds. CU and MS Turks shouting Vulcan, race through streets waving banners etc. CU Turkish police sergeant attempts to get crowd under control. Police in action. MS British troops riot squad walk towards riot with shields, rifles etc. CU British soldier in mufti walks away from area with his child.
