- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Rail Crash at Didcot. DESCRIPTION: An excursion train from Wales was derailed at Didcot, Berks. Immediate fatalities were ten and the number of injured about one hundred. Nearly three hundred passengers were aboard the train. SHOTLIST: Night - CU engine turned over on its side. CU smashed carriages on their side. CU men working at rescue, cutting through metal and opening doors. CU and GV various scenes of wreck. Daylight - CU engine on its side. CU policemen and railway workers searching in wreck for survivors etc. SCU rail points where the train came off the rails.
