MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Royal Command Film Performance - to Catch a Thief. DESCRIPTION: The Odeon, Leicester Square, was the scene of this year’s Royal Film Performance. Many leading personalities of the film trade were present. Her Majesty (looking magnificently regal) was escorted to the salon where many famous film stars awaited the honour of presentation. SHOTLIST: GV exterior of the theatre. GV crowded foyer. CU Sir Bernard Docker and Lady Docker. SCU Jack Hawkins, Richard Attenborough and his wife Sheila Sim, Kenneth More, Diana Dors and Gina Lollobrigida. CU Janette Scott and Coldstream Guardsman. CU Herbert Wilcox and Anna Neagle. CU Alfred Hitchcock. SCU Queen and Duke arriving by car. SCU Queen and Duke being greeted by Reginald Bromhead and J Arthur Rank, in the foyer. SCU Queen and Duke greeting stars and speaking with them including Ava Gardner. CU presentation by Mrs Charles Wolfson presenting the programme and a bouquet was presented by Christine Bartholomew. CU Queen and Duke taking their seats and reading programme.
