- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Cats Day Festival. DESCRIPTION: Ypres, in Belgium, have been holding their annual Cat Festival. It all started in the 14th century, when it was believed that cats were supernatural beings. SHOTLIST: GV the carnival with CU the huge float of a monster. (Presumably supposed to represent the more repulsive type of cat). Another GV of the procession. CU of a float denoting a witch on a broomstick. Then a CU of a participant dressed as a cat spraying water at the onlookers. Final shots of people dressed similarly dancing round in circles. Some CUs of their heads.
