Summary

MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Tommy Gets Back From the Saar. SHOTLIST: Shot of channel steamer steaming along to the cliffs of Dover. Other shots of the ship and the cliffs. She passes a lighthouse. Ship at harbour. Gangway placed into position. The 1st Battalion Essex Regiment landing. Elevated shot of the troops marching past camera. Morning shot of train pulling into Victoria Station. Irish Guards band head the Battalion as they march from the station. In the barrack square they are met by wives etc. The Battalion marching along the Mall towards Buckingham Palace.
