Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: HRH Princess Margaret Departs From London Airport. DESCRIPTION: Members of the Royal Family were at London Airport when Princess Margaret prepared to leave for her West Indian Tour in the Stratocruiser Canopus. SHOTLIST: GV Canopus (Stratocruiser) which is to take the Princess. Royal Party arrives on the tarmac. The Queen walking towards the aircraft with Sir Miles Thomas. The Princess goes aboard, followed by the Queen, Queen Mother and the Duke of Edinburgh. The Queen, Queen Mother and the Duke now leave the plane. Princess Margaret then stands in the doorway of the plane and waves. The Royal party standing with Sir Miles wave back. The aircraft then taxies down the runway.
