- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Duke in France and Germany. DESCRIPTION: During his visit to Paris, the Duke of Edinburgh went to the Elysee Palace to meet President Coty. His Royal Highness also saw a demonstration at SHAPE Headquarters. A garden party was held at the Palace of Fontainebleau, to mark the Duke’s visit. The Duke flew on to Luneburg in Germany, where he visited the 1st Battalion the Queen’s Own Cameron Highlanders.
