MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Trieste & Rome Riots. DESCRIPTION: Three days of rioting in Trieste began with the stoning of police by mobs, believed to have been instigated by members of the Italian Neo-Fascist party. Following the fighting in Trieste, violent anti-British demonstrations were staged in Rome; damage was done to British property, and insults were shouted at Britain and America. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. GV riots. Various shots of riots in streets of Trieste including shooting. . Rome - people rioting, with police, hitting them with chairs, etc. Water jets being set on crowds.
