- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Coronation Review of the RAF. DESCRIPTION: At Odiham Airfield in Hampshire, over eleven hundred officers, airmen and airwomen were on parade for the RAF Coronation Review by the Queen. The Duke of Edinburgh accompanied Her Majesty, who was attended by Lord de L’Isle and Dudley, Secretary of State for Air. After inspecting the parade, there was a marchpast. In the afternoon, Her Majesty inspected the Static display of Aircraft of all types on the airfield. The aerial parade was the biggest and most intricate in its organisation that had ever been seen in Britain. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. RAF Insignia. Elevated GV of parade, planes lined up also. Queen & Duke arrive, royal salute. Parade present arms, colours dipped. Queen inspects parade, followed by marchpast, very smart. RAF flag. GV of planes on airfield. Queen & Duke enter car, several shots drive through lines of planes, inspecting them. Queen & Duke walking, shakes hands with several officers. Re-enter car & drive back to saluting dais. Sycamore helicopter flies past, heading flypast. Air-to-air formation of Varsitys. Overhead shot of Vallettas. Formation - Lincoln bombers. Aerial shot of airfield with planes lined up. Venoms fly over. Canberra bombers in formation. Sabre jets in formation. Swifts in formation. Air-to-air shots of Victor (re this shot see note from Mr Adams - also refer to cuts). Ground shots - overhead of Victor. The Vulcan flies over. Swift flies over at speed to finish. Cut-ins during fly-past of royal box, shows Queen, Duke, Duchess of Gloucester, Duchess of Kent, Princess Alexandra.
