Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Operation Run Aground. DESCRIPTION: All three services were involved in recent invasion exercises on the South Coast. Troops engaged in the invasion included the Gloucesters as well as many units of the Regular and Territorial Army. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. Aboard LCI, shot (MS) of sea, approaching shore. RM frogmen swim ashore at Eastney. Attackers strafe beaches. MS tanks on beach. Flail tank in action. Troops jump from helicopter. GV cliffs of the Isle of Wight. Firing by rockets granels to top of cliff. Men pulling rope at top of cliffs & haul man up. Wounded going down rope & also troops return to beach by means of ropes.
