Summary

MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Diehards Home From Korea (Middlesex Regiment). DESCRIPTION: Arriving at Southampton, the Empire Fowey brought home the First Battalion, the Middlesex Regiment, after their three and a half year Far Eastern Service. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. Troops landing. Rear of ship. GV Empire Fowey. Hundreds of troops on deck same. Ship alongside of quay. Disembarking. Lt Colonel Gwyn walks down gangway, greeted by Lt General Bucknall. Cut-ins troops stand around. Bucknall says few words. Troops disembarking. Relatives etc. greeting and kissing them. Coming down gangway. Twort down gangway with Chinese wife. 3 Diehards speak into ‘mike’ about being home.
