MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Movietone Presents Launch of "Queen Mary". DESCRIPTION: King George and Queen Mary visit Clyde-side for the launch of the new Cunard liner. SHOTLIST: Aerial shot of the ship on the Clyde in her cradle. Spectators under umbrellas. King George V and Queen Mary walk onto the balcony. Crowds wave and cheer. Sir Percy Bates gives an address of welcome. The King responds to the speech. The Queen cuts the ribbon and makes the launching speech. The ship enters the water. Various shots of the launch as she slides down the slipway. Shots with tugs around her in the Clyde.
