- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Royal Travellers Off on Commonwealth Tour. DESCRIPTION: The King, Queen, Princess Margaret and other members of the Royal Family were at London Airport to see Princess Elizabeth and the Duke of Edinburgh board the BOAC Argonaut Atalanta for their flight which was to start them on their journey to Australia and New Zealand. Mr Churchill was also present to offer the royal couple the best of good wishes for their tour. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. Princess Elizabeth’s Coat of Arms. MS Argonaut Atalanta plane on tarmac. King, Queen & Princess Margaret walk across aerodrome, followed by the Mountbattens. Above board plane. Princess Elizabeth’s car arrives, Princess Elizabeth & Duke of Edinburgh walk over to plane. Couple enter plane. Leaving the plane, Mr Churchill, Duke & Duchess of Gloucester, Lord & Lady Mountbatten & their daughter, Pamela? King, Queen & Princess Margaret alight. MS Royal Family & friends in fore with Argonaut in background. Plane begins to taxi. Royal Family walk away after waving, Queen blowing a kiss. Royal Family on roof of building, watches plane taxi, Argonaut taxies & takes off.
