- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Princess & Duke Arrive Montreal. DESCRIPTION: The Canopus arrived punctually at Dorval Airport, some fifteen miles from Montreal; Canada’s first welcome was extended by Field Marshal Lord Alexander and Mr St Laurent. After the airport ceremonies, Princess Elizabeth and Prince Philip drove to the special train which was to take them on the first stage of the tour - to Quebec. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. Crowds. Stratocruiser taxies to standstill at Dorval Airport. MS ditto. Princess Elizabeth & Duke of Edinburgh alight. Greeted by Lord Alexander & M St Laurent. Party walk to dais. SV-SCU Princess & Duke saluting during Royal salute. Colour lowering Royal Standard & Union Flag. Princess & Duke inspect Guard of Honour formed by RCAF. CU Canadian Mountie. CU Royal Canadian Air Force type. Crowds. Princess & Duke board open car, drive away. Alight at Montreal, walk over to royal train. Board train. MS & SCU standing on observation platform, waving & smiling, wearing great coat & fur coat. Final shot train out of camera couple wave; without coats.
