Summary

MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Communist Youth Rally - Berlin. DESCRIPTION: East Berlin has been staging a World Youth Festival; a big Communist Rally, with Lenin Square bright with Chinese and North Korean banners. It consisted of several thousand delegates from many parts of the world. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. MS Crowds in street at border of East & West Berlin. Various shots of procession, many banners, carried through East (Soviet) sector of Berlin. MS deserted West sector with crowds in background in Soviet sector watching procession. Crowds at Stadium. Various cut-ins of streets decorated include Lenin Square, also Stalin boulevard with statue of Stalin. Various angle shots inside stadium as youth parade round, flags of various countries including British & USA. Several shots of pigeons being let loose & flying over stadium.
