Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Glorious Gloucesters Honoured. DESCRIPTION: At a South Korean school (headquarters of the British 29th Brigade), a special parade was recently held to honour the heroism of the Gloucesters. The Commander of the Eighth Army, Lieutenant-General van Fleet addressed the parade which included detachments from every unit of the brigade. He was delegated by President Truman to award a citation (the award is the highest American decoration that can be given to a unit) and he presented the ribbons of the award to a token number of Gloucesters and artillerymen. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. Van Fleet in jeep arrives at 29th British Brigade HQ (a school). Lt General van Fleet greeted by British officer. GVs & various shots of paraded troops. Various regiments included in Brigade are from Luxembourg & Belgium. Van Fleet addresses Gloucesters (silent). Various angle shots of him & cut-ins of troops while addressing.
