Gaitskell walks out of his Hampstead home, & bending over kisses his two daughters, Julia & Cressida. Walks towards car, O’Brien asks Gaitskell about Budget, Gaitskell replies that it’s a nice day. Enters car, drives away. MS Treasury, London. Crowds outside same. Gaitskell walks out of door, hold up Budget Bag. Surrounded by photographers, police etc. he walks across to the House. Group walk out of camera. MS Big Ben & tilt down to crowds outside Parliament. Reg Sutton walks out of public house, pulls out his empty pockets, turns round & walks out of camera.
