Summary

MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: All Set for the Census. DESCRIPTION: Arrangements are now well advanced for the Census to be taken on Sunday April 8th, 1951. SHOTLIST: CU Census forms. GV of room with machinery for recording figures. MS girls operating card punch machines. CU hand operating keys. MS & CU machine sorting cars. MS enumerator approaches house. MS him & woman on doorstep. MS interior husband filling in form whilst mother-in-law reads paper he turns to her & says Would you mind telling me the date of your birth for this Census Form. She looks indignantly and says I’m not giving you personal details Archie, you get me a separate form. Spoof sequence of Russian spy filling in form. GV Hylton Craig interviews Mr Williams (dustman) asked him about his employers & has to put his hand over the microphone to cover reply.
