Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Strike News of the Railways & Dockers. DESCRIPTION: At the Railway Clearing House, London, the Railway Executives and leading members of the three Unions concerned met to discuss the critical situation. And, while a big rail strike was threatening, crowds collected at Bow Street, where seven dockers were appearing on remand. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. Delegates & executive enter building. Interior - GV of executive & union leaders seated at round (oval). SCU Figgins seated at table. Exterior - Dockers gather outside Bow Street Police Court. Police mingle with crowds, some of them have balloons with slogans on. Charged men leave building, shouldered by their work-mates. Various shots of idle dock-sides, ships waiting to be unloaded or loaded.
