Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: America Practises Civil Defence. DESCRIPTION: Radar gives the warning, and air raid precautions, now being extensively practised in America, go into action. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. MS people around plotting table. SCU radar equipment. People around plotting table. Fighter pilots run across aerodrome to machines. Climb aboard, & take-off. Ack-ack batteries manned. Loading (automatic) & pushing shell up barrel. Civilians file out of offices, enter large lifts & large iron curtain descends. Schoolroom scene, students duck under desks. Teacher goes round pushing them down. Rescue workers, over ruins, burning away iron girders, carrying away wounded, injured. Map of New York area, person with plastic ring places same over map which shows area atom bomb has affected. Cut-ins crowds entering shelters.
