Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: New UN Commander in Korea. DESCRIPTION: General Ridgeway takes over in Korea. Other pictures from the Korean War show a duel between a Panther (an American naval fighter) and a Russian-built MIG 15. On this occasion, victory went to the Panther. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. Koreans watch buildings in background burning. CU General Ridgeway. MS Ridgeway shaking hands with Korean officers. MS Ridgeway with officers look at map. Panther jet takes off from carrier, catapult assisted. Aerial shot of Russian MIG 15 plane in combat. Shot by synchronised gun camera in Panther jet of Russian getting direct hits & beginning to crash. (16 mm blown-up).
