- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Korea Crisis. DESCRIPTION: First, the Korean crisis at the Security Council as Mr Wu, leader of the Chinese Communist delegation, takes his seat and listens to Mr Warren Austin, Chief American delegate. In Korea, the British 27th Brigade rest after weeks of strenuous work in the line. In Downing Street, the Korean crisis called for cabinet consultations and Government leaders were present in full force. SHOTLIST: KS. GV Security Council sitting. MS seating Mr Wu is shown to his place, watched by other members. Warren Austin directs questions at Mr Wu. Wu talking but not answering Austin, but accuses USA of "Criminal Act". In Korea - Map of Korea. British 27th Brigade resting. Cooking meals & local native washing their socks for them. British soldier on guard, lorry passes (dusk) with lights on. Panning SCU lorry load of US troops in winter clothing moving past. Natives children skate on paddy fields now frozen. Pan to American lorries, passing loaded with troops. In London - Downing street, MS No 10 Downing Street & policeman on duty outside. Crowds outside. Shinwell & Tom Williams leaves. Dalton leaves. Harold Wilson leaves. Ernest Bevin leaves. Attlee walks out of No 10, SCU of him surrounded by cameramen & reporters. Into car. Car drives out of camera.
