MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Britain’s Athletic Win. DESCRIPTION: Britain’s athletes have beaten France at the Colombes Stadium, Paris, in both the men’s and women’s matches. Although Alan Paterson was beaten in the high jump, Britain gained clear-cut victories in the 800 metres, putting the shot and the 100 metres, which was won by MacDonald Bailey.
