- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Italy Win Grand Prix D’europe. DESCRIPTION: Their Majesties and Princess Margaret witnessed the Grand Prix of Europe held at Silverstone. About 120,000 spectators saw competitors from half a dozen countries get going on the 200 mile race. The race was a walk-away for the Alfa-Romeos; Farina was first, followed by Fagioli and Parnell. The winner’s average speed was 90.95 mph. SHOTLIST: KS. Racing shot of car. In pits, mechanics check and fill cars. Queues of cars on road to course. SCU driver asleep at wheel waiting for traffic to move on. King, Queen and Princess Margaret drive along course in car. Royal Party inspect BRM car. Cut-ins of cars some in close-up. Royal Party presented to drivers, Farina & Reg Parnell. Into camera shot of start & out of camera racing. Various shots of cars racing.
