Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Extremists Demonstrate. DESCRIPTION: London recently had a Sunday of demonstrations by extremists; Sir Oswald Mosley held a meeting at Ridley Road without incident, but a communist demonstration in Trafalgar Square led to quite a bit of trouble in Whitehall. A number of arrests had to be made before these particular extremists could be dispersed. SHOTLIST: Crowds at Ridley Road. Oswald Mosley arrives, mounts rostrum, police in large numbers present to keep peace, some of the crowd made gestures. Various shots of Mosley. Communists demonstrate in Trafalgar Square, various shots. Communists rioting along Whitehall, chaos, police rushing everywhere.
