- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: British Film Festival 1950. DESCRIPTION: Crowds of film fans gathered outside the Odeon, Leicester Square, to see all they could of the stars taking part in the fifth British Film Festival, organised by the Daily Mail. Those who were lucky enough to get inside, saw the stars take part in excerpts from some of last year’s film. SHOTLIST: KS. GV Odeon, shot from other side of square with leafless trees in foreground. Crowds outside Odeon. Exterior shot of Odeon. In foyer, arrivals, crowds (queues) enter. Group cross talk by Michael Wilding, Anna Neagle & Trevor Howard. CU Margaret Lockwood & John Mills talking about making a picture together. SCU silver trophy. People place votes in ballot box. Cut-in of rays of light from projections box to stage.
