Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Silverstone Car Crash. DESCRIPTION: Goldie Gardner and John Cobb were at Silverstone to demonstrate their latest cars. In the International Trophy Race, Mr Horsfall in an ERA crashed and was killed. Ascari, an Italian, won the race in a Ferrari. SHOTLIST: Goldie Gardner on the track. MS John Cobb also demonstrating his car between race. Cut-ins of crowds. Various racing cars, including Italian. Several shots of race - International Trophy Race, start & lapping, crash, driver pinned under car. Ascari, drives a Ferrari, takes off black & white flag on the last lap. First aid men at crash. Crash also in slow motion. Ascari draws up the winner.
