Summary
Sebastopol: the sailors record their votes. In Berlin, Marshal Zhukov and his army votes, in this, the first general elections. Voting takes place, also in Vienna. At the Grand Opera House in Moscow, Stalin makes his election speech. In Japan, candidates for election make speeches, and election leaflets are distributed. Notices, posted on boards, give the people information on voting. Women vote for the first time in Japan’s history (and also stand for election). Some scuffles take place in the streets after the announcement that the Moderate Party has been voted in.
