- Berlin. Horse-drawn column moves to supply Russian occupation forces. Unter den Linden - sign in the dust. Red flag flies over the husk of the Reichstag. Red soldiers are stationed at the once famous Hotel Adlon. In Kiel harbour the "Admiral Scheer" and other warships lie wrecked. The damage done by Allied bombing to Berchtesgaden. Goering’s treasure discovered by First Airborne Division (US). Paintings include "Adam and Even" by Franz Floris, "Portrait of a priest" by Franz Hals. At Buchenwald concentration camp: huge piles of spectacles, jewellery, knives, gold fillings etc taken from the victims are seen. German civilians are made to file past the coffins which contain the tortured remains of the victims of Buchenwald.
