- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Atlantic Scene. DESCRIPTION: LIGHTHOUSE DEMOLISHED - The Shinnecock Lighthouse, on the coast of Long Island, is redundant so had to be demolished. WRIGHT PLANE INSTALLED - The Wright Brothers plane installed in the Smithsonian Institute. Chief Justice Vinson led the ceremonies. ASSISTED JET C-47 - Jet equipment was used for take off of a C-47 that was forced down in a wheat field in Illinois. GREENLAND RESCUE - Pictures of the 12 airmen marooned on a Greenland glacier 8,000 feet high. SHOTLIST: KS MS American newspaper headline. GV Shinnecock Lighthouse, wrecked cutting away bricks from base. Timber placed in hole & caught light. GV of lighthouse falling & hitting ground. (28 seconds).
