MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Rugby - Oxford Win. DESCRIPTION: At Twickenham the ‘Varsity’ match was a very thrilling, hard pressing game, Oxford winning by 14 to 8. SHOTLIST: KS Teams run out. Elevated GV Cambridge kick off. Cambridge attacking. MS & GV of play. CU Oxford score a try. Stewart kicks conversion which hits post & goes over to score. Elevated GV of play. LS Clive van Ryneveld scores try for Oxford. Crowds cheering. Cambridge attacking. Glyn Davies of Cambridge runs into camera, scores try. Holmes kicks conversion. Penalty goal taken by Holmes of Cambridge. Clive van Ryneveld (Oxford) punts ball, kicking same several times till ball eventually goes over Cambridge line, he dives on same to score a try. Scoreboard at 14 - 8.
