MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: India’s Independence First Anniversary. DESCRIPTION: India cerebrates the end of its first year as a Dominion. SHOTLIST: KS At Delhi, Pandit Nehru & Sardar Baldev Singh (Minister of Defence) walk from Government House. Ditto. Ditto walking out of camera. Troops being inspected. GV parade. BOMBAY - Procession through streets, led by pipers, crowds in streets (rain pouring down) armoured equipment passes through street, tanks, AA guns etc., sailors walking through in drenching rain. Cut-in crowds watching under umbrellas. At a football ground, Raja Sir Maharaj Singh inspects all three services. Marchpast of sailors, army & air force. Cut-in Singh saluting. Children clapping. GV marchpast to finish.
