- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Scotland Thanks America (Mute). DESCRIPTION: A ship arrives in Glasgow bearing food and clothing a gift from the people of Boston. The parcels are distributed throughout Scotland to deserving people. SHOTLIST: MS Mr Kellerher, Sir Harry Lauder and his niece, also Sir Alexander King. On River Clyde, several shots Eucadia sails up river. Cut-ins of banners on side of ship Scotland Salutes Boston. Yankee Friendship etc. Ship at quayside. Glasgow Pipe Band march along quay playing. On quay Dr Edith Summerskill, Arthur Woodburn, Thomas Johnston, Harry Lauder. Mr Bump, presents parcel to Mr Johnston. Cut-ins ship being unloaded, stevedores watching proceeding. Pipers lead the first lorry to leave loaded with parcels. Elevated shot Princes Street, tilt down to Free Gift Parcel lorry passing along, decorated with flags, banners etc. At City Chambers, Lord Provost Andrew Murray and Lady Provost receive parcel. Panning across old bridge across River Tay, another lorry en route to Perth. At Council Chambers receives parcel, hands contents into grounds of Princess Louise Hospital for Limbless Soldiers etc. Soldiers in invalid chairs forward and receiving parcels.
