MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Labour Hold Gravesend. DESCRIPTION: At the recent By-election Labour retained the Gravesend seat but with a reduced majority. SHOTLIST: CUT STORY: KS MS Frank Taylor outside his Committee Rooms. Various CUs of Taylor walking about streets talking (silent) to pedestrians. CU posters Vote for Taylor etc. SCU Conservative candidate, Frank Taylor addresses a gathering saying he was sure Tory could improve conditions, or words to that effect. SCU Sir Richard Acland, standing in car and addresses meeting, rather a forceful speaker. MS of him during speech. Cut-ins of both candidates showing their posters. Cut-ins of people arrive and leave after voting. CUs Sir Richard Acland, in various parts of the town, one with background of the river.
