MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Unveiling King George V Statue. DESCRIPTION: The King unveils a statue of his father close to Westminster Abbey. Queen Mary attended the ceremony and paused by the statue with other members of her family. SHOTLIST: CUT STORY: KS Queen Mary alights from car. Queen Mary greeted by army officer. GV crowds and shots of ministers which include Mr Churchill, Lord Baldwin, Mr Bevin, Mr Attlee. Elevated shot of statue draped with Union Jacks. King in naval uniform walks out and unveils same. MS of unveiling. Pan from House of Lords with crowds in fore. MS King making his speech, paying tribute to his father, his loyalty to his people etc. Elevated shot of Royal Family walking from dais towards statue, preceded by Sir William Reid Dick who is presented to King and Queen. Several shots of Royal Family looking at statue. Very good shot of King and Queen Mary conversing (silent) about same. Chuter Ede escorted King.
