MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Royal Visit to Arran - Mute. DESCRIPTION: The Royal Family and Lt Mountbatten arrived by launch for their visit to the Isle of Arran. SHOTLIST: KS LS Royal Barge approaching island. MS Royal Barge. King (in naval uniform) comes ashore followed by Queen, Princesses and Lt Mountbatten. Greeted by Duke and Duchess of Montrose. Royal Family pass through lines of school children. At Broderich Castle King plants tree, also Queen and Princess Elizabeth. Inspecting Red Poll Cattle (bullocks). Lt Mountbatten looks at same. Royal Family look at cheese being made also finished article. Lt Mountbatten drives through crowded street with Princess Elizabeth beside him.
