MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Lord Mayor’s Banquet. DESCRIPTION: At the Lord Mayor’s Banquet, held for the first time since the outbreak of war, Mr Attlee spoke some encouraging words. SHOTLIST: CUT STORY: KS Sir Bracewell Smith seated with Gold Plate on wall behind him. GV guests seated, several shots. Sir Bracewell Smith drinks from Loving Cup and hands it to Sir Charles Davis (retiring Lord Mayor). Archbishop of Canterbury drinks from Loving Cup, Montgomery drinks from Loving Cup (in ceremonial dress uniform). Mr Attlee standing about to address guests. Attlee addressing, defends Britain from her attacks from other countries, also saying we must remain strong. GV guests applauding.
