Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Drought in Australia. DESCRIPTION: New South Wales farmers have recently suffered heavy loses of livestock. The worst drought in history has dried up rivers and water holes. SHOTLIST: KS GV countryside. Large areas dried up, river beds dried up. Sheep, very thin, gathered round windmill. Cows and bulls being moved, driven across fields, transport in lorries to railway stations. Lorries then load up with fodder for remaining cattle, vehicles over fields, men throwing fodder down to starving sheep. Chopping down tree foliage and throwing down to ground for sheep to eat. Shots of sheep without any wool on. Sheep at trough, too weak to eat. Lambs searching for food in amongst trees etc.
