Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Palestine Trouble Continues. DESCRIPTION: Jerusalem is now a city of barbed wire and troops and police are strict about examining passes. Recently troops searched the seaside village of Sedot Yam and interrogated villagers to find out whether they were involved in the mining of the Empire Rival. SHOTLIST: CUT STORY: KS elevated LS of Palestine. Barbed wire everywhere in the streets of Jerusalem. Inhabitants thread their way through same. British troops and police search civilians, also examine passes. Elevated shot of village of Sedot Yam raided by troops, all the villagers rounded up. Troops climb through windows, search houses etc. Army dogs being used to detect mines. At Ruhama, Southern Palestine the 6th Airborne Division discover arms dump under chicken house, arms being taken out of hole, 3 inch mortar, German machine guns. Pan of arms laid out on ground.
