- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Aga Khan Weighed in Diamonds. DESCRIPTION: In Dar-es-Salaam followers of the Aga Khan bring diamonds to match his weight. The stones were later to be sold to raise money for charities. SHOTLIST: KS GV Dar-es-Salaam. Aerial shots of the above town shows stadium where weighing was to take place. Crowds arrive. Procession winding through streets, amphibious float etc. Aga Khan’s younger son, Prince Sadruddin arrives, followed by Aga Khan himself, alights from car, walks to weighing machine preceded by Begum. Various government officials arriving. Aga Khan takes his seat on weighing machine. Various shots of boxes of diamonds being held up so that public can see same. Various shots of weighing machine tipping the Aga Khan’s weight 17 stone 5 lbs. Aga Khan rises and waves to crowds. Cut-ins of crowds. Bands were also in procession.
