- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Virginia Greets Churchill. DESCRIPTION: Winston Churchill had a great reception in Virginia when he visited Williamsburg with General and Mrs Eisenhower. He had previously been to the Virginian capital, Richmond, where his speech followed closely that made at Fulton. SHOTLIST: KS Churchill alights from trains at Williamsburg. Accompanied by General and Mrs Eisenhower, also present Mrs Churchill at the Governor’s Palace. SCU Churchill and Eisenhower standing outside. Churchill gives V sign. Party leave. Churchill and Eisenhower climb into carriage drawn by horses. Churchill and Eisenhower protected by detectives walk through excited crowds. Mr Churchill and Eisenhower drive through town of Richmond in open car, lined with Cadets, who present arms. It was raining quite hard. Arrival at State Capital Building. Interior - Churchill making speech saying there must be association between USA and Britain.
