- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Sports - Boxing and Diving. DESCRIPTION: FANCIER DIVING - A display of fancy diving at Miami Beach, Florida. RINGSIDE PUGILISM! - Members of the audience at the Golden Gloves Final, New York, thought they could do better than the contestants. MILLING CONTEST - A different type of boxing contest at Belle Vue, Manchester. A non-stop battle between two rival soccer teams of the Manchester City Squadron of the ATC. SHOTLIST: KS. Miami Beach - Various shots of fancy diving and trick diving. One shot, mass dive also in reverse, mass finishing back on diving boards. Somersault, swallow diving etc. Diving men wear long bathing dresses. Madison Square Garden - Three couples fight for Golden Gloves, two knock outs. Cut-ins of crowds gesturing how they would fight. SCU one boxer laying prone on canvas, actually this is a slogging match. Belle Vue, Manchester - Two teams march round ring, eleven a side, two of them enter ring and start boxing, (slogging) (milling contest) as the bell rings these two stop boxing get out of the ring and two more enter and immediately start fighting, this goes on until all twenty two have had a scrap.
