MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Far East Outlook. DESCRIPTION: RANGOON UNREST - Scenes from Burma show a meeting of the Anti-Fascist Organisation. VAN MOOK IN BATAVIA - Governor General van Mook returns from Holland to try and solve the Indonesian problem. CLARK-KERR REACHES SINGAPORE - Sir Archibald Clark-Kerr arrives in Singapore en route for Java. BRITISH AND SIAM ON GOOD TERMS - In Bangkok, Lord Louis Mountbatten accompanied the King of Siam as he reviewed a parade in which British Servicemen took part. SHOTLIST: KS Elevated shot of Anti-Fascist Organisation in procession in Rangoon, Burma. Various shots of above crowd holding a meeting. In Batavia, Dr van Mook alights from plane, met by Admiral Helfrich, group shot of party standing by plane. SCU van Mook. At Singapore, Sir Archibald Clark-Kerr alights from plane, met & shakes hands with Supremo. Clark-Kerr inspects Guard of Honour. In Bangkok, the Supremo, Lord Louis Mountbatten, accompanied the King of Siam at ceremonial parade, both alight from Rolls Royce. MS marchpast in which are seen British Royal Marine band leading marchpast, also British troops. Cut-ins King and Supremo on dais. Supremo show King of Siam where to stand on same. Lord Louis kisses hand of the Queen Mother. King of Siam and Supremo marchpast across parade ground, both change step to get into step with one another, of course without success. Add: shot of Supremo and Sir Archibald in car.
