MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: De Gaulle Resigns. DESCRIPTION: As France endures political crisis after crisis, General de Gaulle announces his resignation. SHOTLIST: Library - De Gaulle walks from building in London towards his car, accompanied by Churchill, the latter inspects soldiers. In Paris de Gaulle walks down the Champs Elysees, huge crowds cheering etc. Cut-ins cheering crowds. De Gaulle walking into camera. Sign "Champs Elysees". Pan cheering crowds - end of Library material. At Antibes, de Gaulle in civilian clothes and trilby hat, various shots of him as he takes a walk, sea in background. Small crowd (his own party) follow in the rear.
