Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Daily Mirror Children’s Christmas Party. DESCRIPTION: The Daily Mirror Children’s Christmas Party was for the children of men serving with the British Army of the Rhine. The kids has plenty to eat and drink, and joined in the singing led by Binnie Hale and Lupino Lane. SHOTLIST: CUT STORY: KS Exterior of theatre with kids queuing. Auditorium packed with kids. Children round Margaret Lockwood and Lupino Lane signing autographs. Peter Brough with Archie Andrews, his doll amuses the kids. Derek McCullough asks a girl if she would like a doll like Archie Andrews. CUs Children eating chocolate ices and drinking minerals. Leslie Mitchell, compere, gets kids to cheer to his various signs. Gaston Palmer entertains with his monkeys. Marionettes stage act, dancing etc. Cut-ins of kids cheering. Binnie Hale and Lupino Lane sing "Lambeth Walk" with the kids, pan from former to kids. CU of few. Finishing on kids singing.
